Peace and Play Exuma: A 3-Bedroom Villa Under $300 a Night
Finding an affordable place to stay in Exuma can be tricky, especially if you want enough room for a family or two couples traveling together. On one of our trips to Great Exuma, we stayed at Peace and Play, a bright and spacious three-bedroom villa with access to a beach, saltwater pool and kayaks. Depending on your travel dates, you can find rates under $300 per night, which is a great value for this much space in Exuma.
We’ve actually stayed here ourselves, so this isn’t a property we’re recommending based only on listing photos. Peace and Play gave us plenty of room to spread out, a full kitchen for easy meals and a comfortable place to come back to after spending the day exploring the island. If you’re trying to experience Exuma without spending your entire vacation budget on accommodations, this is one we think is worth checking out.

Inside Peace and Play
Peace and Play is bright, clean, modern and spacious, with an open kitchen, dining and living area beneath high ceilings. It feels much more like having your own home in Exuma than staying in a traditional hotel room, which is especially nice when you’re traveling with several people or staying for more than a few nights.
The villa has three bedrooms, including a primary suite with a king bed, private bathroom and walk-in closet. The second suite has a queen bed, its own private bathroom and walk-in closet, while the third bedroom has two twin beds and plenty of storage. That setup works really well for families, but we also think it’s a great option for two couples traveling together because each couple can have a larger bedroom while sharing the cost of the villa.
There’s also a full kitchen with a refrigerator, gas stove, microwave and dishwasher, plus a washer and dryer. Having a kitchen in Exuma can make a noticeable difference in your trip budget because you don’t have to eat every meal out. We like being able to make breakfast, keep drinks and snacks at the villa and pack a cooler before heading out for the day, then save our dining budget for the meals we really want to enjoy.
Beach, Pool and Outdoor Space

Peace and Play is part of a community of villas along the shores of Exuma, and the beach and saltwater pool are just a short walk from the villa. You can spend the afternoon swimming, relax under the palms or grab one of the kayaks and explore the nearby mangroves. There’s also an honor bar where guests can keep their favorite drinks, which is a fun addition when you’re spending the day around the property.
The villa also has a wraparound porch that can be accessed from both the living room and primary bedroom. We always appreciate having outdoor space on an island trip, whether it’s for morning coffee before heading out or somewhere to relax when you get back. And make time to walk down to the beach for sunset. Exuma gets plenty of attention for its turquoise water, but the sunsets deserve some credit too.
Why Peace and Play Is Such a Good Value

Depending on your dates, you can find Peace and Play for under $300 per night, and that price gets even more interesting when you’re sharing the villa. If two couples split a $300 nightly rate, that works out to about $150 per couple per night before taxes and fees. Compare that with the cost of booking two separate hotel rooms in Exuma, especially when you factor in everything you’re getting with the villa.
We also think Exuma is one of those destinations where it makes sense to save a little on accommodations so you have more money left for the experiences. This is where we’d rather put some of the vacation budget toward a great boat day, snorkeling, swimming with the pigs, seeing the iguanas, finding a sandbar and exploring the cays. The water is the star of an Exuma trip, and you want enough money left in the budget to actually get out and enjoy it.
Who We Think Peace and Play Is Best For
We think Peace and Play is especially good for families, two couples traveling together or a small group of friends who want more space than a hotel room without paying resort prices. The twin bedroom makes it easy for families with kids, while the two larger bedrooms with private bathrooms make the villa work well for couples sharing a trip.
It’s also a good fit if you plan to stay several nights and appreciate having a kitchen, laundry and enough living space to actually settle in. You still have easy access to the beach and pool, but you’re not paying for amenities you may never use at a large resort.
Would We Stay at Peace and Play Again?
Absolutely. We’ve stayed at Peace and Play ourselves, and that makes a difference when we recommend it. We know what it’s like to come back here after a full day exploring Exuma, have room to spread out and still be just steps from the beach and pool.
It isn’t about finding the fanciest place to stay on the island. It’s about finding a comfortable, clean and spacious villa at a price that leaves room in your budget to actually experience Exuma. For us, Peace and Play does exactly that.
If you’re planning an Exuma trip, enter your travel dates and check the current rate because prices will vary by season and availability. If you’re traveling with another couple, be sure to divide the total by two when comparing it with the cost of booking separate hotel rooms. Sometimes that’s where you realize just how good of a deal a vacation rental can be.
