We’re Cari and Monty, the couple behind The Saltlife Family. With over 25 years of firsthand island experience, what started as a honeymoon in St. John, USVI turned into a life built around slow travel, sun-soaked destinations, and sharing it all with a community that keeps coming back for more.
We spent 25 years doing island life as a family, and we did it well. From traveling with young kids to navigating the teenage years, the islands have been the backdrop to some of our best memories. Now as empty nesters, we’re stepping into a new season with more time, more freedom, and a long list of destinations still calling our names.
