If you've followed us for any length of time, you know we're not very good at sitting still.

When we travel, we're usually chasing sunrises, exploring hidden beaches, trying local restaurants, hopping on boats, and squeezing every possible adventure into our itinerary.

Then we checked into Woodstar Beach House on Little Exuma.

And everything changed.

We originally planned to explore more of Exuma during our stay.

Instead, we found ourselves canceling plans, skipping outings, and happily spending day after day right at the property.

That's the magic of Woodstar Beach House.

Located on the quiet side of Little Exuma, just minutes from the famous Moriah Harbour Lazy River, this beachfront home feels like your own private piece of paradise.

It isn't isolated from everything. In fact, restaurants, Georgetown, and many of Exuma's best adventures are within easy reach when you're ready to explore. The difference is that once you're here, you may not want to leave.

First Impressions

The moment we arrived, we knew this place was special. The house sits directly on a stunning stretch of turquoise water with incredible views in every direction. Palm trees sway in the breeze, the sound of the ocean is constant, and the pace of life immediately slows down. It felt less like checking into a vacation rental and more like discovering a private island retreat.

The property is beautifully designed for both families and couples, with plenty of room to spread out while still feeling warm and welcoming. Every window seemed to frame another postcard-worthy view.

Designed for Families, Couples, and Group Getaways

One of the things we loved most about Woodstar Beach House is how thoughtfully the property is designed. Rather than being a single house, Woodstar feels more like a private beachfront compound. The property includes a spacious main house along with a separate cottage connected by the pool and outdoor living spaces. It creates the perfect setup for multiple families, couples traveling together, or larger groups who want space to spread out while still feeling connected.

The property comfortably sleeps up to 10 guests with four bedrooms, seven beds, and five bathrooms. The main house features two beautiful bedrooms along with spacious indoor and outdoor gathering areas, while the separate cottage includes an additional bedroom and bunk sleeping space that works perfectly for kids, teens, or a second family. One of our favorite features was that each sleeping area has its own bathroom, giving everyone privacy and making group travel so much easier.

The heart of the home is the incredible open concept kitchen and dining space. This isn't your typical vacation rental kitchen. The professional-grade kitchen was designed to accommodate private chefs and catered events, but it's equally perfect for families who enjoy cooking together. With premium appliances, an induction cooktop, teppanyaki plates, wine cooler, ice machine, and plenty of room to gather, it quickly became one of our favorite spaces in the house.

Between the multiple dining areas, waterfront terraces, shaded outdoor spaces, private pool, cabana, and separate cottage, the property never felt crowded. Everyone could find their own quiet corner while still coming together for sunset dinners, poolside afternoons, and unforgettable evenings under the stars.

It's the kind of layout that makes you immediately start texting friends and family saying, "We need to come back here together."

The Outdoor Space Is the Star

As incredible as the house itself is, the outdoor space is what truly makes Woodstar Beach House unforgettable. The private pool quickly became one of our favorite spots. Mornings started with coffee overlooking the water. Afternoons were spent moving between the pool, the beach, and shaded outdoor seating areas. Evenings ended with time around the table with friends and family.

There was never a reason to rush anywhere. The property also includes kayaks, making it easy to get out on the water and explore the surrounding coastline. Whether you want adventure or complete relaxation, it's all right outside your door.

Steps From One of Exuma's Best Hidden Gems

One of the biggest highlights of staying at Woodstar Beach House is its proximity to the Moriah Harbour Lazy River. If you've never experienced it, imagine floating effortlessly through crystal-clear water while being surrounded by some of the most beautiful scenery in the Bahamas.

It's one of our favorite places in Exuma and one of the reasons we love this area of Little Exuma so much. Being able to access this incredible natural attraction just minutes from the house felt like having one of Exuma's best-kept secrets in our backyard.

The Exuma We Love Most

There are plenty of places to stay in Exuma.

Some are closer to Georgetown. Some are larger. Some are more luxurious.

But very few capture the peaceful, authentic island feeling that makes people fall in love with Exuma in the first place.

Woodstar Beach House gave us something we didn't even realize we needed.

A chance to slow down.

A chance to disconnect.

A chance to enjoy the simple things that often get lost in busy schedules and packed itineraries.

Why We'd Stay Here Again

We've stayed in some incredible places throughout the Caribbean, and Woodstar Beach House instantly earned a spot among our favorites. What makes it special isn't just the private pool, beautiful beach, amazing sunsets, or perfect location near the Lazy River.

It's the feeling you get while you're there.

For a few days, the world gets quieter.

The to-do list disappears.

And the only decision you need to make is whether you're heading to the pool, the beach, or back to your lounge chair.

That's our kind of vacation.
