Here is something nobody tells you about dining in Turks and Caicos: the food is extraordinary.
Most people come for the water and leave talking about a meal. We have been to Provo enough times to know which restaurants are truly worth your vacation dollars and which ones are coasting on a great view.
This is our honest list, organized by meal so you can plan your days without wasting a single reservation on something that will disappoint you.
One important note before you dig in: make your dinner reservations before you leave home. Coco Bistro, Embers, and Marine Room all fill up weeks in advance during high season. Do not wait until you land.
KNOW BEFORE YOU GO - THE LOCAL DISHES YOU HAVE TO TRY
No trip to Turks and Caicos is complete without conch — the star of the island, served cracked, as fritters, in chowder, or as a fresh salad. Grilled lobster is a must, especially during season from August through March. Order jerk chicken with a cold local Turk's Head beer at least once. And do not skip peas and rice, johnnycake, or a stop at Turkberry for frozen yogurt on your way home from the beach.
BREAKFAST

Hemingway's on the Beach The Sands Resort · Grace Bay Beach · Open from 7:30am Daily
Beachfront breakfast on Grace Bay does not get better than this. The food is fresh, the portions are generous, and eating with that turquoise water directly in front of you is the kind of thing you will talk about when you get home. Order the eggs benedict or the fresh fruit plate, linger over your coffee as long as you want, and remind yourself there is nowhere you need to be.
Hemingway's also serves lunch and dinner and does conch chowder and key lime pie as well as anyone on the island.
Order this: Eggs benedict, fresh fruit plate, conch chowder
Saltlife Tip: It fills up fast mid-morning. Aim to arrive between 8 and 9AM for the best seats facing the water.
Shay's Cafe Southwest Side of Provo · Budget Friendly · Scratch-Made
Shay's is the kind of no-frills local spot where the food does all the talking. Fresh scratch-made breakfast at prices that will not make you wince, with the kind of welcoming energy that keeps the locals coming back. This is our go-to starting point on days when we head southwest toward Chalk Sound. Fuel up here before a big day of exploring.
Somewhere Cafe & Lounge Coral Gardens Resort · Right on Grace Bay Beach · Open Early to Late
Great food, generous portions, a relaxed and welcoming vibe, and the kind of unhurried morning energy that gets you excited for the day. Coffees, Tex-Mex, and cocktails with sunset specials daily. A reliable, feel-good breakfast stop anywhere in the week.
Lua Beach House South Bank Resort · TCHTA Restaurant of the Year 2025
Lua Beach House took the top dining award in TCI for 2025 and it shows. Fire tables by the lagoon, global seafood, a breakfast through dinner menu, and a setting that is genuinely stunning. Save this one for a morning when you want to linger and feel like you are treating yourself.
Saltlife Tip: If your departure falls on a Thursday, come here instead of The Farm — Lua is open all week.

Order the cracked conch, grab a cold Turk's Head beer, and plant yourself at a table with your feet in the sand. This is TCI in its purest form.
Da Conch Shack has been a Blue Hills institution for decades. It is also the single best place on the island to try conch prepared multiple ways in one sitting — the fritters, the salad, the cracked conch. Do them all.
