After countless flights, island adventures, and beach vacations, I've become pretty picky about what makes it into my suitcase.
Between family vacations, couples getaways, girls trips, and more tropical island adventures than I can count, I've pretty much turned packing into a science. Since I'm a carry-on girl whenever possible, every item in my suitcase has to earn its place.
Over the years, and after countless flights, ferry rides, and beach days, I've narrowed down the travel essentials I reach for again and again. These are the items that keep me organized, save space, make travel easier, and help me enjoy the trip instead of stressing over the little things.
With summer travel season officially here, I thought it would be fun to share a few of my favorite travel finds that have become permanent members of my packing list. Whether you're headed to the Bahamas, Aruba, Isla Mujeres, or just sneaking away for a long weekend, these are the products I never leave home without. 🌴☀️✈️
See all these items below and all our favorite travel essentials on our Amazon Storefront Page
Dock & Bay Quick Dry Beach Towel
A good beach towel is non-negotiable in the Caribbean. We love this one because it dries quickly, doesn't hold sand, and takes up almost no room in a carry-on. Once you've used a compact travel towel, you'll never go back to hauling around a bulky hotel towel.
Carry On Luggage

This carry on is a game changer for island travel. The top opening design lets you grab what you need without laying your suitcase flat, making it perfect for airplane aisles, small hotel rooms, and cruise cabins. The one handed opening is fast, convenient, and makes travel days a whole lot easier.
Compression Packing Cubes

Compression packing cubes are one of the easiest ways to pack more without checking a bag. They keep everything organized, save valuable suitcase space, and make it easy to find what you need without digging through your entire carry on.
Travel Luggage Scale
Few things spoil the end of a vacation more than being charged for overweight baggage at the airport. This compact luggage scale is incredibly lightweight and has saved us on numerous occasions. We don't take it with us when we travel, but we always use it while packing.
Lumify Eye Drops
Early flights, salty ocean water, long beach days, and late-night sunsets can leave your eyes looking rough. Lumify works fast and is one of those products we always keep in our personal item.
Nordace Siena Pro Tote Grande

This has become one of my favorite travel bags. It holds everything I need for a travel day, including my laptop, camera gear, chargers, snacks, and all the random things that somehow end up in my bag while traveling.
Travel Cable Organizer
You don't realize how many cords you travel with until they're tangled together at the bottom of your backpack. This organizer keeps chargers, batteries, earbuds, and cables all in one place.
Apple Airtags
Apple AirTags give us extra peace of mind every time we travel. Just toss one in your checked bag, carry on, or backpack and you can track its location right from your phone if it gets delayed or misplaced.
Rechargeable Travel Makeup Mirror
Hotel lighting can be questionable at best. This rechargeable mirror has adjustable lighting and makes getting ready before dinner or photos so much easier.
Universal Travel Adapter
If you're heading outside the United States, this is one of those items you'll be thankful you packed. One adapter covers multiple countries and eliminates the need to carry several different plugs.
DJI Mini 5 Pro Drone
Some destinations are simply too beautiful not to capture from above. The DJI Mini 5 Pro has become one of our favorite tools for creating content and documenting our travels.
GoPro HERO13
Boat days, snorkeling adventures, swimming pigs, paddle boarding, waterfall hikes, or just floating in turquoise water. The GoPro captures moments that your phone simply can't.
Vacuum Compression Packing Bags
If you're an over-packer, welcome to the club. These compression bags create extra suitcase space without needing a larger suitcase.
JBL Go 4 Bluetooth Speaker
Small enough to fit in a beach bag but powerful enough for a sunset playlist on the balcony. It's waterproof, durable, and perfect for island trips.
Travel Mahjong Set
One of our favorite ways to unwind after a beach day. If you're a Mahjong fan, this travel set makes it easy to bring game night wherever your adventures take you.
Portable Mahjong Mat
YETI Rambler Tumbler
Whether it's ice water at the beach or coffee before an early flight, this tumbler keeps drinks cold (or hot) for hours.
Portable Charger Power Bank
Between taking photos, using maps, checking flight information, and posting vacation updates, phones drain fast. A reliable power bank is one of the most important items in our travel bag.
Canon PowerShot G7 X Mark II
This camera has been a favorite among travel creators for years for good reason. It's compact, easy to carry, and produces fantastic photos and video without the bulk of a larger camera.
Travel Steamer
Wrinkled vacation photos are forever. A compact travel steamer helps keep clothes looking fresh without relying on hotel irons.
Favorite Bug Spray
When planning a tropical vacation, having a reliable bug spray is essential for a worry-free experience. The warm, humid environment is often a breeding ground for mosquitoes and other insects, which can quickly turn a paradise into a nuisance. We always rely on Grand Tongo for its effective formula that not only repels bugs but also provides long-lasting protection, allowing us to fully enjoy our time in the sun without the constant worry of pesky bites.
Final Thoughts
The best travel gear isn't necessarily the trendiest. It's the gear that consistently makes your trips easier, lighter, and more enjoyable. These are products we've either packed ourselves, used on recent trips, or continue to recommend because they've earned a permanent spot in our travel routine.
