If Jamaica is on your bucket list but you're not sure what the current travel restrictions and rules are, we have created a quick and simple list for you which includes everything you need to know about traveling from the USA to Jamaica in 2021/22.
We found the process very smooth and easy to complete but if you have any questions please do not hesitate to get in touch with us via email or on social and we will do out best to guide you and answer any of your questions.
🇯🇲 Anyone intending to travel to Jamaica is required to get pre-approval.
🇯🇲 Travel Authorization Applications can be found on the Visit Jamaica website. The application must be requested within 7 days of planned travel date.
🇯🇲 Within 72 hours of flight, take a COVID-19 PCR or Antigen test.
🇯🇲 The printed approval along with a copy of a negative PCR or Antigen test result are required for check-in and boarding the flight.
🇯🇲 To manage risk, Jamaica is limiting visitors to “Resilient Corridors” along the North Coast (including Negril, Montego Bay, Ocho Rios, Portland). A second Resilient Corridor is from Milk River to Negril on the South Coast. The Kingston Business District is open to business travelers under restrictions.
🇯🇲 Travelers from the USA do not need to be vaccinated to enter Jamaica.
🇯🇲 For travelers departing the island, many countries and airlines require the presentation of a recent negative Covid-19 test result to board a flight. Jamaica has adequate testing locations and capacity available to meet the demand. In addition, many of the resorts and hotels offer approved testing services on property.
🇯🇲 TRAVEL TIP: Remember to check that your passport is valid and in date!
PLEASE NOTE: Under the current circumstances, global travel restrictions are changing constantly so we recommend checking with the Jamaican tourism board before you travel just in case there may be new changes that could affect your travel plans.
